Mild cases generally clear with 3 to 4 months of treatment. For moderate to severe cases, 6 months or more may be necessary (and for longstanding or severe cases, sometimes many months). Most people notice improvement in their skin within the first 6 to 8 weeks of taking herbs. It’s particularly important in psoriasis to stick with treatment until the condition is resolved. In cases where people stop taking herbs when the condition is 70% healed, there can be regression, requiring an even longer time to get back on track and fully heal. Photos give us great information about how treatment is progressing. It often happens that people are genuinely surprised when they come in for a consultation, look at their own photo — even one that’s less than a month old – and see how dramatically they’ve improved in a relatively short period of time.
